There is something special about drinking out of a bone china mug – the light shines through it, it’s delicate to hold and drink out of, and it makes that cuppa a bit more rewarding. So why did I bother designing and producing my own – surely there are others around? Well, you know what, there aren’t. Yes, there are coloured mugs, but they are a bit thick and unelegant, well, through my eyes, anyway. I had, many times, thought about producing my own range of mugs and stationary products, and being a tutor of drawing and painting I couldn’t decide what medium to use, what picture to put onto a product, and then I had that light bulb moment. – keep it simple! So I started on the journey of producing washes of pure colour.
